With more than 20 years of experience in the natural gas and energy industry, Wes Haun is a highly sought-after speaker and trainer on the subject of Natural Gas Basics. Haun currently serves as an independent consultant for a major energy user and other businesses where he provides professional advice on the purchase and risk management of both natural gas and electricity. He also works as an expert witness in legal matters pertaining to contractual disputes. Haun’s previous positions include 11 years with various Enron subsidiaries where he was eventually named vice president of offshore gas supply at Enron Gas Marketing; and 10 years with KN Energy where he oversaw all aspects of gas purchasing, pricing, negotiations, accounting, and contract administration. Haun was also responsible for the company’s deregulation process and transition to an open access/common carrier status. He left KN as senior vice president of KN Marketing and KN Interstate Transmission, and as a member of the board of directors of KN Subsidiaries.
Haun holds a degree in management from the Georgia Institute of Technology; an MBA from the University of Nebraska, and has performed graduate work at the University of Michigan and Harvard University. He and his family make their home in The Woodlands, Texas.
